Cleanup Guide & Zone Map
Tips & Reminders
Find Your Team: With a record number of participants, we recommend each company bring a sign, flag or other tall item to help your teammates find one another as we gather for the clean up.
Don’t forget your supplies! If you’ve participated in the past and still have your shirt, wear it! A limited number will be available on a first come, first served basis at the kickoff.
Cleanup Time: Each group determines the duration of their clean up. Some groups will spend 45 minutes and others will spend a couple hours. Regardless, we are so grateful for your participation!
Large Items and Needles: Do not not pick up needles! If you find any larger items (couches, chairs, etc.) or hypodermic needles. Please notify Kris Jeffries, Clean Start Operations Manager at 971-354-0431 or Kristopher.Jeffries@ccconcern.org with a photo and its cross streets.
Foil / Fentanyl: Fentanyl residue on foil is very dangerous and should be treated accordingly. Feel free to leave it be. If you do pick it up, use the trash picker and make sure the residue never comes in contact with you.
Trash Drop Sites (courtesy of Central City Concern): Each zone has an assigned drop site, indicated with orange paint and noted on the map. You will likely see people with Central City Concern carts and vests. Thank them—they do this every day!
Map Instructions
Each sponsor is assigned to a zone. If you work for that company, that’s your zone!
For all other groups and individuals, find your zone alphabetically based on the first letter of your company name (or your last name if you’re not with a company). If you clean outside of your assigned zone, please be sure to drop what you’ve collected at any designated drop site on the map!
The map highlights the boundaries of each zone in red, along with the nearest trash drop site. You can find the list of cross-streets for each zone and drop site on page 3.
